Tim Brown
Tim Brown brings a vast array of skills to Creekside based on his degree in animal science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, his experience training horses; and his lifetime of involvement in animal agriculture. Tim’s animal handling skills also allow him to function as a veterinary assistant when needed. In addition to keeping the ambulatory units on the road, he manages the computer systems and contributes to daily laboratory and customer services. Tim maintains a “can do” attitude and is willing to perform whatever the needs of the practice demand in a timely and professional manner. Tim has played a vital role in the expansion of the practice and provides exceptional support to all the doctors on staff.

Travis Young
Travis Young has exemplified quality patient care, customer service, and ambulatory veterinarian support since 2004. He brings a great attitude to work with a desire to learn more about our patients every day. He has a kind gentle manner in dealing with the patients coupled with great sensitivity for the owners feelings in sometimes difficult situations. Travis is a vital cog in the Creekside team approach to patient care. Travis with his family enjoy camping and fishing, and when possible taking his dog out hunting. Travis and his family are looking forward to new adventures with Creekside.

Maria Valdez
Maria Valdez has been part of the Creekside family since 2014. Her association with Dr. Colburn began when she was a young girl with horses that Dr. Colburn tended to. Dr. Colburn has observed Maria’s growth thru the high school years as the President of the Fallbrook FFA chapter and an exhibitor of many livestock projects at the Del Mar Fair. She went on to major in animal science/production management at Fresno State while completing the requirements for veterinary school. Maria attended Fresno State on a rodeo scholarship and has an extensive background in western horsemanship. She is providing very capable veterinary assistance to the practice while she awaits acceptance to veterinary school. Maria also loves to help people and is the consummate animal caretaker. We are grateful to have her passion for the work combined with her great attitude as a member of our caring staff!

Karen Colburn
Karen Colburn has completed her role as a stay at home mother to four children allowing her the time to take over the role as chief financial officer of Creekside Veterinary Service, Inc. She has been indirectly involved in the practice since it’s inception in 1984. Karen is a graduate of UC Davis with a degree in Biology and a teaching credential in high school math and science. She has a vested interest in the success of the practice and does her best to insure that our clients are satisfied completely with our service. Her attention to detail helps us manage a large client base in a prompt and efficient manner. She has thoroughly enjoyed becoming a direct participant in serving our patient/client needs.
