Dr.
Steven V. Colburn feels that “New technology
in the fields of reproduction, joint therapy, and lameness
diagnosis make the future of veterinary medicine extremely
exciting.” He finds motivation in the challenges these
problems present, and satisfaction in correcting them.
After attending UC Davis to earn his BS in Animal Science,
and DVM degree in 1984, Dr Colburn settled in Fallbrook with
his wife, Karen. The country town was an ideal location for
raising their four children. Jeanelle (23) graduated with
a BA in Communication from Cal State San Marcos, Garrett (21)
recently got his degree in Business from Cal Poly San Luis
Obispo, Ashley (20) is attending school at Colorado State
and Wade (15) is a Freshman at Fallbrook High School. Whether
at work or play, the Colburns are drawn to the outdoors. Leisure
pursuits include hunting, fishing and sports in general.
Dr. Colburn is the founder of what is now Creekside Veterinary
Service. His dedication to the practice and commitment to
continuous education has proven to be a winning combination
for animals and their owners. Another factor that enhances
the success of Creekside is the value the doctors put on their
clients. In the words of Dr. Colburn, “The human relationships
that develop between owners and their veterinarians are just
as important to me as the animal care responsibilities.” |
