The evaluation and treatment of equine performance related problems is a large and growing part of Creekside Veterinary Services. Our lameness evaluations allow us to visualize the lameness you as the rider see or feel. Our diagnostic tools including digital radiology and ultrasonography allow us to visualize body lesions and tendon and ligament abnormalities.
Our treatment options range from high-powered focused shockwave therapy for various soft-tissue injuries, along with biological therapies such as bone derived stem cells and platelet rich plasma into other soft-tissue lesions. These injections can provide growth factors to stimulate the healing process.
In cases of joint disease, high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (which helps to lubricate joints), and the traditional anti-inflammatory steroid therapy are offered as well as interleukin-1 receptor antagonist protein (IRAP) therapy. IRAP is a process which harvests your horse’s own anti-inflammatory factors which are then injected into a problem joint.
Our goal and mission is to diagnose and to develop a treatment plan all in one visit.
